Among the most beautiful trips I have ever participated in, a special place is reserved for my holidays last year in Ireland. Two weeks between nature and cities visiting fantastic places saying “hey guys, don’t you think that here the green is greener?” and “oh, those hills seem the background of Windows.” But man does not live only of nature and in fact I do not even forget the pints of Guinness had with friends, at the Gravity Bar in Dublin or in some pubs in Cork.

Of course it was a cultural trip and in fact we have learned a lot: which are the four ingredients of a Guinness beer, how to recognize Irish whiskey from a Scottish one and … how to pour a perfect pint. Unfortunately until now I had not had the opportunity to put theory into practice on this latter notion. But I just got an email from the Tourist Office’s Dublin advertising a pretty competition where you can practice online to serve a perfect pint of beer through the famous three steps (which you will discover through play).

My pint was unfortunately not perfect and the bartender told me that I have yet to be improved. And you? Have you managed to not foam too much or too little? Try it here!

Here in Italy we have during these day a lot of voting. I am pleased to announce that I will participate (in extremis) to Blogger T-Shirt Summer 2009 contest:

This is a contest organized by Catherine Policaro (Catepol) in which Italian bloggers can participate (by now, they could …). For the rules, I refer you to the post that contains the regulation and the photos taking part in it: as you can see I have submitted my one just in time!! People who know me will recognize the T-shirt in the picture.

Voting has not yet started and now there are 68 T-shirt already published.. Take a look  so that you will know who to vote next week! And do not be distracted by “women’s T-shirts”!

Many blogs announce Firefox upgrade called “3.5 Preview”, which is the 3.5 b99 version, proposed automatically to those who already have the 3.5 b4 version. This is the official page of the news. My advice to bloggers who use Wordpress is to wait for the Release Candidate that will be released in one or two weeks: in fact, with the recent upgrade the administration panel for writing the new post could become inoperable: it is not possible to manage the tags, to insert images, to quick edit and to use many other features. The bug has already been reported and should have already been resolved, so this will no longer be in the next release. Meanwhile, for those who, like me, had had too much hurry, it remains the option of downgrading or (as I will do) to use an alternative browser (Chrome in my case) for the delivery of your posts.
