Q: I have a brand new USB pen and I decided to use it at university to copy the documents on which I am working and bring them home. I have a problem: inserting the pendrive in USB port, nothing happens. May be guilty of the fact that the PC of the Politecnico are old, they use Internet Explorer 6 and they have a very low resolution? Have I to change the pendrive? Did they screw me?
A: Surely, PCs of Politecnico are far from being up to date and the use of IE6 is something of criminal in a university that has a course of study in computer science. Despite this, check first that the USB port in which you inserted the device is the one of your PC and not the one of the nearby PC. Especially if a month ago you had made a similar mistake, turning off the PC of an unaware colleague near you.
