It’s always a pleasure

Web has created situations that a few years everyone would have considered unimaginable. Who is studying or working with it as I do, should have already realized it, but when I received this mail I have definitely leapt up for the pleasant surprise.

we have never met, I am L. from Melegnano and I should ask for one thing to be fair.
I am doing a poster to be displayed in Melegnano and I found on Flickr your photo of the castle at night that I really like and I would like to use (it is not an initiative for profit)
To be fair, I feel bound to ask if I can use it in part and change it to fit the needs of the manifest.
I kindly ask yoou to let me know as soon as possible, so that I can finish it by tomorrow evening.

Naturally, I agreed, discovering on further discussion that she was speaking of the “Vagabond Night” at Melegnano, that will be held on June 5th and providing a larger version of that photo to L. I think that this possibility of sharing is one of main innovations brought by the Web, maybe the one that makes me more proud to study the its basis in order to slowly improve it.
